Pre-crash Safety System
The Pre-crash Safety System is a technology that detects danger of a collision and quickly engages safety systems.
This system alerts the driver to the danger of a collision and also minimizes the damage from a collision.
What happens when the car looks like it is going to hit a car or pedestrian in front?
If the driver is not looking straight ahead or is nodding off to sleep and the system detects a possible collision, it will make a sound to alert the driver of the danger.
If the risk of a collision increases, the system will automatically apply the brakes and at the same time pull the seatbelts tight to reduce injury from the collision.
What happens when a car is hit by another car from behind?
When the radar detects a car coming close from behind, the hazard lights will flash to alert the approaching driver.
If a car still approaches dangerously from behind, seats that are reclined are pulled upward and headrests are moved forward, closer to the head. This reduces impacts to the neck and minimizes injury to the occupants in the case of a collision.
