The Winglet is a mobility robot that people ride while standing up. It uses a small amount of electricity and runs on two wheels. It is about the same size as a person. The Winglet is a vehicle that is friendly to both people and nature. Anyone can easily ride the robot because it maintains balance and the driver can go in any direction easily by simply shifting one's body weight. The Winglet is small, light, and can be folded up, so it can be used indoors and outdoors and can be taken in a car or on a train or bus, making it ideal for short or long trips.
The Mobiro is a mobility robot that people ride while sitting. It uses a small amount of electricity and runs on two wheels, is about the same size as a person, and can be used by anyone safely inside the house or outside. Even on hills and stairs the robot keeps balance and can move based on its own decisions. The Mobiro comes when it is called, can return on its own, and can follow people, making it a very user-friendly vehicle. Toyota is developing the Mobiro so it can help older people and others move around in the future.
