Toyota Announces Results for September 2008 and the
First-half Period from April to September 2008 |
Tokyo — TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION (TMC) announces today its production, domestic sales and export results, including those for subsidiaries Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. and Hino Motors, Ltd., for September 2008 and the first-half period from April to September 2008.

- Sales of Lexus vehicles were 2,310 units (23.6% decrease from September 2007)

- Sixth consecutive month of increase
- Number of minivehicles sold in September 2008 was approximately 55,000 (5.7% increase from September 2007); sixth consecutive month of increase
- 33.4% share of minivehicle market (2.9% increase from September 2007); record high for month of September
Hino
- Decrease
- Number of standard trucks sold was approximately 3,100 (11.8% decrease from September 2007)
- 33.5% share of the truck* market (0.8% decrease from September 2007)
*Maximum loading capacity of more than four tons; excluding imported trucks

- 40.0% share of market including minivehicles (0.4% increase from September 2007)
