Present and future of safety technology development at Toyota

In 2003, Toyota incorporated the world's first radar-based pre-crash system into the Harrier.
Later, Toyota added pre-crash brakes and suspension control into the Celsior. Most recently, Toyota has added camera image processing information into a new model vehicle scheduled for sale soon. The addition of this camera image processing information to the enhanced pre-crash safety system will improve collision forecast accuracy and improve warning and control levels. Toyota will continue to make advances in pre-crash system technology and upgrade its automobiles accordingly.
