Vehicle Description

This automobile, commissioned by car aficionado Prince Arisugawa Takehito to Shintaro Yoshida and Komanosuke Uchiyama, was the first gasoline-powered vehicle built in Japan. About ten units were constructed in all. Because it made a rattling noise when it ran, people at the time nicknamed it the "Takuri," which is a shortened form of the Japanese onomatopoeia for "rattle."
